Meetings
Typically, meeting lists will designate meetings as “with visitors” and “without visitors.” This has to do with the level of anonymity a group has chosen. If you think you have issues with food and are interested in exploring OA, you are welcome at any meeting—with or without visitors.
At OA® meetings, members can find others who share their disorder and learn how to work the OA® program, as well as tons of encouragement to “keep coming back!”

Whether you go to one meeting a week — or one every day — most OAs find that meetings leave them renewed and full of fresh ideas for working the steps and using the tools.
Please note, formerly, some meeting lists marked meetings as "open" or "closed". "Closed" means only compulsive eaters or persons trying to decide if they are compulsive eaters may attend. "Open" means members of the public are welcome to attend. The wording in the box above is current.
